Gears of War Finished

Posted: April 25, 2007 by jgrantmarshall in Uncategorized

I have finally completed all levels of my favorite video game, Gears of War… on casual difficulty, anyway!  I was just complaining that I was going to have to enlist the assistance of my brother in law because you are able to play cooperatively, but I was miraculously able to pull it off myself.  Raam, the final “boss”, was pretty difficult, but I have to agree with many of the online forums that passing him is altogether possible, even by yourself.  Any other readers that are GoW fans?

Blue Rockets Soar to Victory

The Rockets, season record now even at 1-1, played a tough defensive game and were victorious in YMCA Soccer on Saturday.  The typical Oregon Spring weather was no match for the Rockets as they scored the game winning goal in the closing minute.  The Rockets next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 28th.

Who Ya Gonna Call? …Google?

Forget calling Ghostbusters (anyone alive in 1984 probably remembers Ray Parker Jr’s Ghostbusters theme song), the next time you need to find a phone number or address, call Google!  The famous search engine now as a free 411 service.  Simpy dial 1-800-GOOG411 (1-800-466-4411) and use the voice recognition prompts to quickly find the business number &/or address you desire.  Additionally, for mobile users, you can have Google send an SMS text message so that you have the info on the screen of your phone.  I tested a couple of obscure local businesses and Google correctly connected me each time!  I would love to see the SMS message sent integrated with Google maps… but that may be more info than most users would need.  Try it out and let me know what you think about this service!
