What a week…

It’s been a pretty interesting week.

Last weekend, we all worked on Grant’s science fair project that was due on Monday.  We made a battery out of 2 potatoes that ran a small digital clock.  On Thursday, we found that Grant’s project earned second place!  Not bad, huh?

As you have probably read, I have been closely logging my health stats for the past couple of weeks and I have finally seen some results!  It’s not a huge loss, but I started out on Monday weighing in at 215 and was 212.5 on Friday.

Today was Grant’s first soccer game of the Spring season… which you’d know if you looked at the calendar in the previous post.  Grant scored his first-ever goal in a game today.  It was the game’s first and his team’s only goal.  He is finally joining the ranks of the big kids!  Prior to this year, soccer to him was chasing the other kids around and maybe kicking at the ball.  He had fun, but was pretty winded by the end.

See… I told you it was a busy week!  There should also be some pictures in my Flickr gallery on the right.

Way to go Jason , keep up the good work. Before to long we wont even recognize you. Sounds like Grant had a really good time at his soccer game. Tell him he looks like he is doing a great job on his bike without trainning wheels. Now if you guys need batteries he can build them for you.

  2. He’s not particularly thrilled at the prospect of no training wheels… We put on the training wheels from his old bike yesterday, but found they were too short. So, he’s still without training wheels.

heh All you need to do is carry 2 potatoes to power your watch… no, I think I’ll stick with a watch battery!
